Time and should be's

I took a day's leave today to spend with my baby girl. It didn't quite work that way as I spent most of my time asleep. I think she did too! And then I played a little - I should be making Christmas goodies, but had no inspiration for them, I picked up this vintage little owl picture and let my fingers do the thinking.

Wednesday night when I couldn't sleep I decorated this tin for a secret Santa I am taking part in. We all gave hints as to what we like and the person receiving from me is a Tim Holtz fan.

Your art is gorgeous. I'm so glad to hear that Maggie is doing well. I know you are relieved. I love the look on her face in this pic. Kind of..."I cannot believe she is taking a picture of me right now." lol

Good for You ! Taking a day off!

You SO deserve it after all of your "hard work" and the stress of Mag's surgery !

So you slept ! you needed it and I can't think of a better activity with a day off than indulging oneself in whatever comes along. Sleep came along for you and I think you are lucky. I saw on someone's blog...oh ! NAture Girl's- Her little tutorial using her cat on taking a nap...It was so inspirational I told myself THIS WEEKEND I AM GOING TO SLEEP ! to my heart's content. So with your story and that it inspires me to do just that.

I love those stamps on your little wise owl card. Very colorful and fun - this card.

BUT YOUR TIN really stands out. What a Lucky Secret Santa Partner.I see lots of goodies filled in too.....ooooooooooo! you can't sleep ! Doing ART is definitely a great way to fill that time ! Especiallly when it produces treasure like this ! It must be your best creating time !

Hope you (and Maggie ! And the cats !!!) are doing well.
Love, S.

ps I was just thinking about the story of Charles (wasn't it?) and the snake....and you in the tub and .... you know the rest ! oh my goodness.... ! What a night !
