Just a Little Shopping

Look at this loot! The whole bowl of zip pulls was $1.50 and the jar with the nails, hooks and 'thingies' was also $1.50. All those lovely brass numbers were 50c each! I was so excited by this shopping spree ( a hunt for one item - not found - to finish an assemblage ) that I now have another hundred ideas in my head.

My wonderful beads came in the post today. I really like the contrast between the bright colours and the organic shapes.
What bliss, new goodies ... and the knowledge that school holidays are just around the corner.

What a great lot of loot you have there .I love rusted things--I bet the person that you purchased them from thought you were loopy.
But we know better don't we.

I agree with Lisa - I thought the beads were flower petals, too! Those are beautiful. And all the "junk" will be great in assemblages....and all for $3! Don't you just love a bargain.

What a treasure trove Julie! And beautifully photographed (as always).

Can't wait to see what you do with this stash. I am very excited at the thought of trying some assemblage work at camp this year (might be interesting trying to get it over via my suitcase on the aeroplane though!).

I love the contrast of the rusty metal against the blue crockery.

And laughed out loud at Doreen's comment!

And where did you buy those luscious beads? Pray tell:)

Love you , and am glad you will have some time to play very soon.
