Such is life...

I have been particularly busy and decided to treat this first week of the school holidays like, well, a school week. Head off to work each morning and work away in the quiet of my office without distractions. Monday morning I set off, feeling a combination of resignation and perhaps a little righteousness (after all I am a grown up and I had found a coping strategy).
I was quite relaxed as I sat (STATIONARY) at the roundabout when BANG SHOCK I was in the middle of double lanes of traffic going around the round-about. Yep, I had been rear ended. I am stiff but no permanent damage.
My poor little car is another sad story...and the time to make police reports, call the insurance people etc etc etc
And yet by last night I was overwhelmed with love for those around me. I had been offered enough cars to drive a different one each day for weeks, had wine delivered, and friends drop in. So now, I am home, attempting to work - and being distracted, dribbling away to you, adding items to my etsy, working on this and that...and feeling fairly content.

Wow Julie, what a dramatic way to start your holidays and interrupt your reverie!!! Poor thing... I hope the wine makes you feel better (he hee).
Take care of yourself and I am SO looking forward to catching up with you at the retreat!

Hope you're feeling OK now, it's always unpleasant having to get repairs done, claiming insurance and all the paperwork that entails, having the accident's bad enough without all the inconvenience. But as long as you're alright the rest doesn't matter. Enjoy the rest of your holiday.

oh this bracelet is GORGEOUS !

But I am so sad to hear you were in an accident. Your pooooor car. It's such a huge thing to be in even a small fender bender and this sounds much worse. What a thing to happen on your holiday !

I hope you went to the doc and got yourself checked too ! You never know and it can show up much much later.

Whatta pisser - the whole thing ! (nice language on your blog) But it is such a headache - to say the least!

What nice friends you have ! and the wine ! Whatta boost ! laughing. Now that is good medicine !

Toasting to your days off and hoping that the car issue is resolved relatively painlessly.

Love, S.

Just visited your ETSY shop and wow , so many beautiful pieces there !

I was thinking it was genius the way you wrapped the fibers with wire on the Green Bracelet. You have such good ideas !

And all those good findings to work with ! you have a treasure trove of goodies to buy there !

Well, first I saw the gorgeous bracelet.. la la la... completely ready to tell you how lovely it is.. then BOOM! An accident?? Oh no... poor Julie. I hope you're feeling okay - no sore neck or anything awful like that. I hope things get worked out soon. I know what a hassle it all is - it's so inconvenient! Hang in there.

OMG so sorry to hear about your accident! some people drive like ... hmmm, don't want to insult any animals either. I saw this person the other day, at a roundabout, slowing down, stopping, and as soon as someone was coming to her right, she sped up! Sheesh!!! They scare me, and I drove for years before I move here...
I'm glad you're OK!!!
