Hello

Antique bisque doll head earrings
Archer: Are you in there?

Hi everyone, time has flown since I last blogged and so much has happened good and bad.

I have been sick, and truly the list sounds like the Lament of Job, my foot continues to be an issue, a winter cold, conjunctivitis, mouth ulcers and more - just when I though I had escaped winter without being sick. So there was not much art completed at all.
These earrings have been sitting waiting to be constructed for ages, it is nice to finally have them finished and dangling merrily.

I thought you might like these pictures I managed to capture during a game of hide and seek, often the pace is too fast as the game is combined with chasey in the furry world and I get pictures that are a blur.

Last week my new nephew was born - he is smoochalicious and i am besotted already! While he was arriving my Mum had my niece to stay and we had a giggle playing hide and seek -it was nice to be a participant.

Work has been difficult. I have to be careful what I say, but essentially for the first time in my life I had to raise a concern about some abuse I was experiencing. The decision about how to handle that was taken out of my hands and some interesting decisions were made which ultimately left me feeling unsafe at home as well.

More houses for the Creative Soul Retreat village.

Now I am feeling almost 100%, the dark cloud that has come as I battled situations and sickness is lifting and I can enjoy the outdoors as summer saunters in with the help of daylight savings! Long afternoons in the garden are coming, furries all coming to pester and chase the weeds as I pull them. Early evenings on the deck with a cup of tea or a glass of red and all while unconstrained by jumpers, jeans and joggers (OK, I couldn't resist the j's).

Harvey: At last she recognises my Indian roots - dahl on nahn bread.
I just checked I have well over 200 blog posts to catch up on so there will be a nice night or two browsing for inspiration and catching up as well.

Phantom: Can't a bloke have a bit of privacy while he cleans.

Julie these earrings are gorgeous. You constantly amaze me with your talents and how you can turn your hand to so many different art mediums.

sorry to hear you've been unwell and having troubles at school. Hopefully that is all behind you now and you can move forward. Cheers

Glad you are back and that things are looking better... maybe you'll be able to get some good sunshine and lift the spirits even more.

Your doll head earrings are wonderful! All the photos are fun to look at. It looks quite peaceful there from the kitties viewpoints.

I'm glad you're feeling better, and I hope all your troubles at work are behind you for the summer months. Love those doll earrings. I have the bigger version of the doll, it gave me a chuckle to think of me even making them into a necklace.
I thought maybe when your friend got married and you got rust, that you were in your glory and took off for their farm.

Hi my friend

So good to hear from you and see so many gorgeous photo's.

I am so sorry to hear you have been so ill. And that you have had other things to contecnt with aside from your foot. Conjunctivitis sounds horrible and a cold and mouth ulcers on top of that? It is no wonder you havea been out of action.

Was alarmed (and upset) to hear that you have been suffering abuse at work. And hope that you are feeling safe and secure at home now.

Love those earring Julie (will you be selling them on Etsy) and your latest batch of houses for the art retreat are stunning..

Congratulations on the birth of your new nephew. He is very blessed to have an aunty as special as you.

And I LOVE the photo's of all the kitties ( and of Archer too). They look so happy and contented in their lives with you.

BTW, a friend of mine will be bringing a little king charles cavalier spaniel like Archer into her life in 2 weeks time. Same coloring too. She is already in love with her :)

Sending much love to you. Wish I lived closer so I could come round and visit.

Much love

Dotee xoxo

P.S I laughed out loud at the photo of Harvey and the piece of dahl bread!

Beautiful earrings - quite smitten with the top pair.

I am sorry to hear of your Job-like struggles...how frustrating but I know you have a hand on the source of strength.

I am very sorry to hear of the abuse - that is frightening...I will pray it is resolved soon and quickly (better than whatever is currently being done)...

Lovely earrings and photographs and the little houses are just wonderful.

Your ankle will no doubt take some time to heal so be patient with it and I hope your woes at school get sorted out soon.

I will be mailing your book tomorrow, its now really too big to bring in my suitcase - especially if I want to fit anything else in there!

xoxo

I've been away from Blogland again and was sad to learn that you haven't been feeling so good....and to have things at work to worry about, too. That's just no fun. I hope you're feeling better now and can enjoy the nice weather.

I love the photos of the "kids" playing. Archer and Harvey are so cute.
