I am not sure the dairy cows fully appreciate their awesome views here, just 15 minutes from home, but I am so glad that I made the time to do so today.
When I awoke this morning the sun was shining, the sky was clear and blue and I knew I had to be out. I decided to take the car for its first run at full speed so Archer and I set off for a little town just over 50km's away.
There is something wonderful about collections of mailboxes all together. I chose spots for Archer to stretch his legs where I could snap a few.
I knew Arch' had found a really good smell here, his dear little tail was as still as it can be and his whole focus on the ground in front of him.
The cattle looked so content in the paddock - such a contrast to the steaks they will become.
It was however, a dreamy morning, do you see the wood smoke in the background?
This is a favourite, and much photographed mailbox on the road home. I wonder what the postie thought when it first arrived.

Hi Julie,
I haven't visited in a while. I wanted to see your tassle dolls after hearing all about them from Dot. Oh my, they are wonderful! I love them. And I love the journals below too. They are so cool. Great pics of the mailboxes - I always love to check them out and have a few photos I've taken through the years. So interesting to see the wear and how they are lined up.
I hope you're well.
All my best,
Holly
Hi Julie!
So glad I stopped by this morning. NEAT mailboxes!! Thanks for sharing and Archer looks like he was enjoying his walk too!
Such a beautiful pictures!
That is a cool mailbox
We've just been on a bit of a roadtrip to Daylesford and saw some awesome and creative mailboxes by the roadside, but nothing like that terrifying fish! Amazing!
I hope you don't mind, but I've nominated your blog as one of the blogs I love to read, here at my blog.
That first photo is so beautiful! How wonderful to live so close to such beauty.
Having grown up in a rural area, I enjoyed seeing all the mailboxes. They make an interesting display. And that one is downright scary! Pity the poor postman who delivers there. I wonder if the mailbox chomps down on his hand if he delivers bills!
Yes that is beautiful countryside! And post boxes with such character!
Archer does look pretty intent on that sniff!
Thanks for your sweet comment!
Thanks for all the wonderful pics. This fish mailbox is absolutely stunning!
How cool is this letter box

Oh Julie, how beautiful, I want to live THERE!
BTW, I received my Etsy order yesterday & I LOVE everything, especially the tiny watch hands!
I didn't realize how small they were & I just love them...and the dolls, just precious!
Thank you!
Sure got a laugh out of those mailboxes. The Fish looks dangerous and the others just very quaint and perfectly enjoyable to see along a country road.
